19 Darrell Issa Tweets to Porn Mod 'stalker' Goatsred

California's Republican Congressman Darrell Issa sent the controversial Goatsred aka Mike Stack aka Redgoat, moderator of many pornographic discussion sites and key figure in the Weinergate story, nineteen tweets in 2010 and 2011.

Goatsred is one of the members of the #BornFreeCrew who - along with Dan Wolfe aka patriotusa76 and a handful of other allegedly conservative twitterers - kept tabs on younger women that NY Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner followed on Twitter.

Wolfe famously retweeted the Weiner underwear picture tweet, but has mostly vanished from the scene ever since Andrew Breitbart - for unexplained reasons - sent out a posse of socks to catch him.

In one of three sleazy, cowardly, un-bylined smear articles based on leaks, The Smoking Gun - on June 3rd - brought up irrelevant details about Stack's past, but they did note his "stalking" on the porn forums:

Stack, who aggressively pushed the story about Weiner’s underpants shot, has worked as a moderator on a pornography web site, and been a regular commenter on several other X-rated sites. Stack describes himself as a “Pervert” on one site, where his avatar, captioned “Antichrist,” is a drawing of President Barack Obama as Jesus Christ.

Stack fought frequently with a woman who accused him of stalking her online, and alleged that he admitted to opening numerous Twitter accounts posing as her. This sort of obsessive attention to a subject he disliked would be familiar to anyone who has followed Stack’s acerbic tweets about Weiner and his wife, Huma Abedin.

In one 2009 post, Stack fired back at some of his online enemies, warning them to “be careful of what you say.” He claimed, “I can find out anything about anyone. The software and programs that I have at my disposal, in addition to the people who work in the wi-fi and technology field that I am partnered with make me a virtual cyber detective.” Stack added, “I have other people making me money, so I have all day to have fun here at my little house. Hopefully, you have the same resources the next time you call someone out.

As Greg Beato notes at Soundbitten, on May 25, "Goatsred emails PatriotUSA76 about the possibility of publicizing Weiner's DM to Ethel. He writes, 'I think that since we have the stuff screencapped we call or email his office. But cc a whole bunch of people asking for a comment. She is underage, however. Let me email Darrel Issa press sec.'"

At a Washington Post blog, Felicia Sonmez reported, "Two members of a group of conservative Twitter users requested help from House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa’s (R-Calif.) office as they sought to expose Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (D-N.Y.) inappropriate online communications with several women, according to emails released by the Web site The Smoking Gun."

Frederick Hill, a spokesman for Issa, said Wednesday that Issa’s office had received an emailed inquiry from the two but did not respond to their request. Hill added that Issa himself had not been aware that Stack and Wolfe had contacted his office until Monday, the day that The Smoking Gun posted the emails.

“We received an email,” Hill said. “We did not respond or offer advice or counsel.”
